Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G full review Design and build
xiaomi really needs to do something about their confusing naming situation this is not the redmi note 11 pro plus 5g that's available in india despite identical names we have that one reviewed already instead this phone is known as the xiaomi 11i hypercharge in the indian market with that out of the way let's move on to the full review if the note 11 pro plus looks have you feeling like you're seeing double well that's no surprise outwardly the phone has an identical design to the redmi note 11 pro and the note 11 pro 5g like them it has a flat glass back a flat plastic frame with a matte finish and gorilla glass 5 on the front it's rated for ip53 dust and splash resistant so it's not completely naked to the elements either it also has a massive camera island that makes the phone wobble when used on a flat surface the bundled case should help with that though our note 11 pro plus has the forest green paint job and in person it is minimalistic yet captivating with many layers of dark green paint while the matte back doesn't provide any extra grip over the other colorways it's not as prone to smudges the phone also comes in a subtle graphite gray and a more glittery star blue color on the top of the phone you'll find an ir blaster and a headphone jack on the right hand side of the device are some comfortable volume keys and a snappy fingerprint reader that doubles as a power button
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G full review 6.67'' Super AMOLED, 1080p, 120Hz refresh rate
the 6.6-inch super AMOLED panel has a full HD resolution and supports a 120hz refresh rate and a 360hz touch sampling rate while you can set the refresh rate to 60hz the default option is set to 120. it'll revert to 60hz only in certain situations like when watching videos or taking a picture the screen has excellent brightness for its class and got a max of 760 nits in auto mode color accuracy was great in the standard mode while the default vivid setting was accurate aside from bluish whites and greys this screen has widevine l1 DRM support and is hdr10 certified so unlike on many other redmi note phones here you can stream NetFlix and amazon shows with the maximum possible 1080p hdr10 quality
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G full review Speakers and sound quality test
the note 11 pro plus has stereo speakers tuned by JBL with support for Dolby Atmos on its top and bottom the setup earned a very good mark on our loudness test and the audio quality itself was excellent they sound deep and clean and have rich presentation across the board
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G full review Battery endurance and charging (120W) speed
the redmi has a 4 500 milliamp-hour battery which is smaller than the other phones in its lineup but it still scored a great endurance reading of 106 hours on our tests it comes with a 120-watt power adapter that's heavier than the phone but boy does it deliver with the boost charge mode on it got from zero to 100 in 16 minutes you can also take the mode off so it's easier on the battery but even so you're getting a wicked fast zero to 100 in 22 minutes
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G full review MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G
the note 11 pro plus has the MediaTek demensity 920 5g chipset and either 6 or 8 gigs of ram in part thanks to the chipset the phone supports dual 5g wi-fi 6 Bluetooth 5.2 NFC and tri-band GPS the pro plus had excellent performance for the mid-range segment and offered a good gaming experience with no overheating anywhere even with prolonged tests the phone got only slightly warm in a couple of spots
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G full review Android 11, MIUI 12.5
the note 11 pro plus comes with android 11 with miui 12.5 on top this is a little disappointing considering all its siblings are launching with miui 13 but Xiaomi has said that an update will be coming very soon in practice though many of miui 13's features are behind the scenes so there isn't much of a difference between the devices with and without the update overall it's a fast but customizable UI with a lot of proprietary apps if you want to learn more about the note's upcoming miui 13 update check out our in-depth video on the topic and
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G full review Camera specs
that massive camera bump on the back you'll find a 108-megapixel main camera with phase detection autofocus an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel macro cam
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G full review Daylight photo quality
during the day the pro plus took excellent photos that had plenty of detail no visible noise good contrast and a balanced dynamic range and the colors are realistic shots weren't over-processed like on the other redmi note 11 pro phones either if you zoom in you'll get a basic digital zoom that has been upscaled while they're certainly usable for social media they have poor levels of detail if you pixel peep the ultrawide's performance is outstanding for the class photos have above-average levels of detail for an ultrawide the dynamic range is exceptional and colors are lively the automatic distortion correction does a great job of straightening corners too the macro camera is a fixed focus one and if you get a feel of words focal ranges you'll get sharp shots with good detail excellent colors some noise and alright dynamic range portraits were a mixed bag the subject separation and blur looked nice and we found colors to be accurate however subjects had poor levels of detail perhaps due to aggressive noise reduction the 16 megapixel selfie camera
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G full review Selfies
on the other hand, captured great photos with high contrast lively colours and good dynamic range this is the only phone in its lineup to have auto night mode and it's enabled by default surprisingly though it didn't trigger most of the time
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G full review Low-light photo quality
so there was a contrast between default low light shots and the ones where we manually turned night mode on still these regular shots had nice colours good exposure low noise and acceptable levels of detail while night mode is rather conservative it still improves exposure resulting in a wider dynamic range with restored highlights and better-developed shadows and slightly better colour saturation details were on par with the default images if you zoom in at night though avoid night mode and stick to the default shooting mode else you're gonna lose a lot of detail the ultra-white also has auto night mode but it didn't seem to do much while colours are saturated shots are dark and noisy if you force night mode on though you'll see drastically better photos they're brighter are cleaned of noise retain their detail and have better dynamic range unlike the default shots these are very much usable
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G full review Video quality
this is the only redmi note 11 phone to support 4k video capture with its main camera the footage was great we saw a lot of detail balance sharpening and low noise everything else was superb too at night it still looks good and though it's a bit noisy the colours and exposure are nice the ultrawide can capture full HD videos the colours and dynamic range are excellent the resolved detail though could have been better and was hurt by the electronic stabilization overall though it's a better result than average for the class quite frankly
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G full review Conclusion
the redmi note 11 pro plus 5g easily outshines the rest of the note 11 lineup and is the best redmi smartphone of 2022 so far so much so that it's not even part of this lineup in India or it's just called Xiaomi 11 eye hypercharge while it certainly stands its ground as an excellent mid-ranger the galaxy a52s and the realme 9 pro plus might give it a run for its money if you're after a more premium camera setup still is it one of the best mid-rangers of the season definitely it's stylish has an excellent screen excellent fast charging good battery life good photo and video quality and even good performance I mean what more could you want thanks for watching everyone stay safe and I'll see you guys next time you
